Yes my first league defeat encountered is against Torpedo Rovers... Last Year when we lost to Morning Glory i wasnt really around LOL... Anyway.... Discount the woeful performance at Queenstown that Zonghui managed to Bagged a Brace inclusive of a Specatcular Volley.... It will be better to move into our league game as an archive.
Following back to back defeats in friendlies, our Confidence has been shaken and taking a lower performer of the league could be good news. Coupled with the fact that they are starting with only 9 players. An unfamiliar Backline started the game with Taran betweeen the posts.
Ah boon myself Zhenquan and Tianjun guarded the posts. Adrian sat in the middle of the park with RX While Seng and Ke jang took the flanks. Zong Hui lead the Attack supported by Chai. Chai took the lead for us by slamming from close range after confusion from the rangers. There were poor communications on the pitch for the Reds while they struggled to find the net with referee offering lots of Dubious decision benefitting the Rangers. Taran showed his versatility on the pitch by keeping the Rangers at bay. Despite our numerous effort pushing forward we couldn't extend the lead only to be hit by a sucker punch to allow them to creep in for an equaliser.
Our effort to go for the kill became more driven and Who Else... Found the net with a neat shot that tucked nicely into the bottom left hand corner... But the match ended with some fright as the referee disallowed a last minute goal from them.... A huge sigh of relief....
Finally we get to taste the prowess of Torpedo Rovers in the following week and were pretty much intimidated by their reputation when a corner was not picked up and they manage to go in front in the first 20 min. 1st Half ended 1-0 as Chai was taken off the pitch when he picked up a knock. Sadly, the whinners played second fiddle in the second half when the rovers picked up two more goals to end the game 3-0. Not a convincing win for them and we believed we could have done better..... It was a defeat that sparked many's sentiments to train harder....
Words were placed into Actions.... The reds came in full force... And they have a point to prove... Match Started with Big Daddy Saran in between the posts. Simon Zhong Zheng in central Defence. In form Full back Zhen Quan took the right berth while Daniel had a job to do on the left. Jumain and Lewis formed the heart of the Midfield Flanked by Ke Jang on right and Weixiong on left. Taran Supported Zong Hui in Attack.
A fiery start but not able to conjure anything in attack but Ke Jang brought us 1-0 when he latched onto a Jumain Shot. Defence was having an easy time while Zhen Quan was putting in another 5 star performance setting up attacks and a rock in defence. Second goal game from a spectacular Volley From Seng in the second half that was buried so deep in the net it could have ripped the net. Wei Xiong send the Reds 3-0 Up when he blazed down the flank and finished with his left foot special.
A small lapse in concentration from the defence allowed the Rangers to reduce the deficit to 3-1 and it wasn't long before Taran set up Xian Xi for the Fourth Before Rixian wrapped it up with a right foot finish.
It was a good win for the whiners as they strive to improve their form, improve their play...... Communications... But whatever the case, it was a good win and everyone deserves a rest....
Until next week lads...

Simon was a rock in defence whether in the centre or out on the right! Except for 2 corners which made it 9/10 instead of 10/10.
