110410 Ahad Ibrahim Vs OMU

After a good 2-3 weeks of matches being cancelled due to hazardous weather, the lads gathered again at Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary.... 13 lads turned up for a crucial match against considerably strong opponents OMU....

The game started with Daniel, Myself, Zhenquan and jin in the heart of the defence. Midfield was anchored by the hardworking Adrian paired with Lewis ad they are flanked by Seng on the left and Nigel on the right... Chai and Xianxi fronted our attack..

It was a good ten minutes of action before Xianxi broke Seng into the penalty box with the keeper to beat only... He did a spectacular right foot placing to plant the ball into the net bringing us 1-0 up... But our lead lasted barely 10 minutes when opponent equalize via a neatly taken shot outside penalty box which went in nicely... But a Opportunity that Xianxi earned with a spot kick outside the penalty box between the Midfield gave rixian the big chance to turn it in a goal... and without any invites he curled the ball sweetly into the post and the keeper can barely nip it... opponents flew into a rage over the decision for freekick and threatened to call off the game....

No it didnt happen and we went into half time leading....

2nd half was a pressured half when opponents rained their attacks on us notably the corner which we struggled to clear for a while that gave us a fright...

But a turn of luck came when we fronted a counter attack which xian xi lob to Chai who flick it onto an onrushing Nomis who similarly took no second invitation to slot it beyond the keeper's reach... It was definitely a sucker punch to the opposition who are playing it hard and tough....

A strategic change for Tianjun to came in to hassle the opponent worked as he ran his socks off covering every blade of grass in front of the defence harassing the play of the opponents.... But opponent werer given a lifeline when their shot was deflected beyond asen's reach when Zhenquan's foot was planted there and it changed the direction of the ball....

The final whistle was indeed music to the ears as the players heaved a sigh of relief that the match has ended.... Tired bodies and fatigue legs but a job well done.....

All the best for the following match at Bedok South tomorrow... Good luck to all!!
