Dull morning with a slight damp on the pitch. Pre-match hype was all about who's going to be goalkeeper as we are going through this part of crisis that will eventually make our team stronger in every aspect. After much discussion and consideration we had Tianjun in goal for the game and credit to him that he was rarely threaten and pretty stable.
Pitch was small and tight with little width so the battle was scrappy and full of 50-50 challenges. Game started with line-up of tianjun in goal, back 4 of simon, jin, daniel, zhenqing, while midfield comprising of jumain, andrew, twelve, lewis and rixian with zonghui upfront alone.
We didn't really stamp our authority but obviously more threatening than opponents, whom we were playing for the 2nd time. Attacks were launched and Zonghui was more than a threaten with his physical presence and clever using of his body and neat touches to start spinning around the defenders. Held his line comfortably upfront and defending from there on. Lots of long balls were played and chances wasted. We took the lead early with just the 2nd corner of our game with Twelve delivering it to Zonghui who was unmarked to place a header to the opposite corner. Jumain and Andrew were both winning challenges and with Jumain protecting the back 4 and giving a calm influence and smart distributions, our play was a notch above opponents. Defence snuffed out any threats before they were there and the attack was mostly through the middle. Lewis and Twelve worked hard but it was difficult to find any space. Our lead extended when another pass was aimed towards Zonghui and he tried to get past the defenders but failed, the loose ball came out and Rixian took a shot from just outside the area and the ball went in. Soon after opponents got halved the deficit with a goal against the run of play. A corner from the right came in and Twelve inevitably diverted the ball into the net with the ball coming towards him. But we extended the lead not long after as Rixian took a quick but long throw in to Andrew who volleyed it first time into the bottom right hand corner a la da certain Ah Paul from Manchested United. Andrew put himself into club folklore by slotting in a 2nd after a good one-two with Zonghui to put the team 4-1 up. We failed to score in the 2nd half and play was getting messy as Jumain left the pitch with a particle in the eye. Midfielders never track back as much but our defence held its own against the counter attacks. We were not without our chances though with Zhenqing hitting the crossbar with a tonjoul from outside the area while Andrew continue to make pot shots on goal, looking for his hat-trick that seemingly never will come. Referee didn't blew for a foul on Jin as the striker dragged him down and Daniel tracked back but failed to stop the opponents proper but only succeeded in ramming the ball across goal into the net. The game finally ended with Andrew whacking over a 2nd ball with some backlift into the construction site.
The result was never really in doubt as we ran out deserved winners but a lot of our play left much to be desired. There are different issues for each player to face himself and hopefully we will see a better you next sunday. Credit to defence, especially trio of Simon, Jin and Daniel for putting in a good shift as usual. Special mention goes to Tianjun and Zhenqing for their versatility, both whom never complain about putting themselves into different positions. Jumain and Andrew was making their mark in the middle but of course not skying the ball into the construction site. Rest of the team was alright too but the best is yet to come i believe so meanwhile look after yourselves and build up some stamina for the coming game at Fuhua Secondary this coming sunday.
Day rounded up with lunch nearby but not too glamourous was the stupid Fatimah giving us some trouble. Damn bitch! See you guys next sunday!

Match 05 Review :150209 West Wood Secondary School
My apologies to everyone for the Review to be up only so late as i was really busy with work.
Anyway The review for the match at Westwood secondary. Upon reaching the pitch we were shocked to see the players of our opponents in the first match. It was the Grey Jersey Veteran Team. Well it is okay for us to play them again and see how much we have progressed.
At the sidelines was our charismatic playmaker Chai, unable to join the team but was there to give the team guidance. Ah fat is out for 2 months with heavy work commitment and that is where our team needs to hunt for a goalkeeper in place of ah fat.
Zhen qing returns to the squad after being out for a week. Team also see the return of Ah Seng and Xianxi.
Defence was marshalled by the familiar 3 of Simon, Daniel and Jin. Included in the line of defence was ZhenQing.
Twelve and Seng were deployed at the flanks and Jumain and lewis were positioned in the central of the park. Rixian leaded the attack sitting behind Xianxi.
The veterans were solid and robust in their play. Lacking of our inspirational player, we took a while to stabilise ourselves with rixian constantly penetrating the opponent's defence. The opponent's attack was neutralised by the firm defence of Jin and Daniel who are as stable as ever. But it was the opponent who drew first blood when they fired a freekick in which was beyond the reach of our keeper.
We returned the favour quite soon when rixian took the corner kick. Jin charged up and took a left foot shot off the on dropping ball past the keeper. True Class that will put Nemanja Vidic to shame.
The game took a stale taste to it with a few prominent shots from Seng who took a beautiful volley that scale pass the goal post and a few attempts from Xianxi. Jumain was confident and compose in the centre of the park that started a few attempts to attack. Lewis was a bit out of position at times and tried hard to adapt to the play and became better with more passing out to the flanks and releasing the strikers.
Some changes were made at the second half with Zhen qing pairing up Xianxi in attack. Rixian Dropped deep in the midfield with Jumain. TianJun filled up left back. And he did a good job by making sure that attacks down the left was shoved off as he defended well.
Very soon into the second half some scramble in attack saw zhen qing pounded the ball into the net. He reminds me of carlos tevez running berserkly around the pitch take the ball wham.... Madness but crucial to the team.
We went 3-1 up after xianxi took the ball and shot it at the keeper and clearance of the ball was not done quick and twelve slotted the ball into the net.
We were not complacent but the opponent pulled one more back bringing the score to 3-2 with a elegantly taken shot outside the penalty box.
It was a good game and after the game a few of us sat down to talk through the tactics and worked something out for the team. This week hopefully we will do much better than last week.
Guys remember we are strong...but we need to combine everyone's effort and make us formidable.

Match 04: Review 080209 @ Boon Lay Secondary
After 2 weeks of layoff from professional football the team gathers once again for their much anticipated friendly. The weather was streaking hot and the bodies lethargic due to the excessive boozing in the new year. Fico was good but the boozing was intensive to the extend that lifting our legs for a kick was a chore.
Here are the players who grace the match. A huge thanks to all who have turned up and also thanks to those who Aeroplane us...
A small note......No offence to anybody or anyone but i think Every player is precious to us and we will only call sufficient amount of players so everyone gets a considerable amount of time on the pitch so i hope everyone respects the system and reciprocate by being responsible to notify me earlier (1 day in advance) if you are unable to turn up for the game. Especially when you have agreed to play and due to certain reasons not being able to play please notify me.....
The lack of players would result in over exhausting our other players and i think it is not fair to the other players. I am not out to pin point anyone or anybody but just serves as a reminder in future. It also wun put me in a situation that last minute need to activate players to come or whatsoever.
Let me just showcase to everyone the pillars of the team....

Match Review
Our first match encoutering Malay who actually look like they pack quite a punch. Was given the offset of +3.5.
Ah fat was once again deployed to guard the posts... Jin paired up with Daniel with Kaweng on the left and Simon on the Right. Lewis on the right midfield 12 on the other flank of the field and Rixian and Chai stomped the midfield. Seng paired up with Zong hui on top.
Match started with us going positively with us approaching positively at the opponents.
However due to the lack in match fitness and communication... Our threat of the day... Big Bad Emile Heskey who was virtually, literally "Unknockable" placed his first goal into the net although kaweng did his best to nudge him aside....They had only 1 shot and it had to go in....
On the other end..Chai and Rixian are pounding the balls towards the keeper hard and fast. Chai is once again putting in a 5 star performance pulling the strings with Rixian who was instrumental in setting up the first goal. A delicate chip from Rixian met by Chai who took it down nicely and wham.... 1-1...
Defence was jittery and communication was down.... Emile Heskey again was barraging his way into defence...Simon slided knocked and bump him but he wouldn't budge and daniel and simon went for a double team but he just shove them aside and went clear towards the keeper and put the team 2-1 up before half time....
Knowing how the Opponents operate, We had a better picture on how to lock them out of their play....with emile Heskey deprived of balls their attacking option was reduced.... Zonghui is intensifying his efforts to win the ball running himself dry grabbing at every chance to win the ball back.... All the balls towards midfield had only 2 possible location.... Rixian head or Chai Head as the two of them stomp their authority in centre mid...Defence was perpetually stagnant...With ever stable Jin sweeping away ever possible threat and daniel fast as anything winning all the balls with his pace and speed...
Twelve had a few good opportunity to sweep in a few balls but was not met by anybody...Seng also had a decent attempt that went slightly wide....Rixian at the heart of another attack smash the ball hard towards the keeper and the keeper only could parry it to the feet of lewis who slotted the ball onto the feet of the opponent who tuck the ball into the net. And the match ended soon.
A good performance for everyone but fitness level for everyone needs to be elevated and maybe more play with each other will reap in better understanding between everyone.
Good start after the new year and may our new game get a better result.

Hi Guys...Hapy New Year Gong Xi Fa Cai...
After all the heavy boozing and Gambling its time to hit back to the pitch again to ply our trade.
Fitness and stamina are going to be affected in one way or another but its okay we can always pick up again. Then again...an update on this weekend's match.

Okay i know everything above is a bit Army-fied but great teams cannot survive if they dun have a proper admin system... so with a stable Admin system i hope we can keep going a long way.... Essentially we are going into small time League soon so before we embark on this journey....on the back end we have to iron out all the roles and responsibilities....

Match 03 - Match Review : 180109 8 Wonders @ Fuhua Sec.
I was in my new hush puppies underwear, meeting Jeremey and Simon to go for our battle today, but not before stopping by to get some "light" breakfast which turned out to be bacon and sausage. Drinks as well. Got to the field and there was almost everybody, changing up and warming up. Players all start to come in and the team gathered, only person who was late is the referee but everyone was still eager to go. First 11 singled out, everyone got a role to play and time to rest so off we go.
We took a 2-0 lead early on, with goals from Xianxi and James. The first was a diagonal pass from James to Xianxi and he controlled the ball and took his chance well. 1-0 up! And the 2nd was a defensive error from their so called "star player" Weixiong, who took a goal kick but the ball was headed back and he kept James onside to slot in the 2nd. Weixiong started to realise he can't lead the defence on his own so he changed his position playing on the right midfield just dropping off the strikers. He did make a impact as he pulled one back for his team with an tight angle unstoppable shot. Not your fault kay Ah Fat? I think no one will save that shot. And half chances continue to come by as some interplay lead to Ah Chai and me taking pot shots at the other end. The half ended as we regained the 2 goal cushion when James supplied a delicious through ball for Xianxi to finish, although the keeper took at touch but the ball still went in, agonisingly.
First half round up was encouraging, Daniel and Jin absolutely solid, taking out everything that were thrown at them, with interceptions, tackles, clearances. One occasion was that the goal was empty but out of nowhere Jin came sliding in to clear the shot. Amazingly spotting the danger and anticipating it before it was there. Zhenqing was very lively and he reminds me of Ah Ray of my previous team, ranting and shouting at everything he could but he pointed out plays that we should make right, like challenging for the loose balls and 50-50s. And he was our best weapon for attack in the first half with his clearances. Speaks volume how flat things are in attack.
2nd half start with my contact lens being problematic turned out to be a masterstroke. With Simon continuing at right-back we had Tianjun to defensive midfield which added even more bite to our defensive display. He was in the thick of the challenges, I could only think of him as Rambo in the Grass. Simon was getting a lot of freedom as he made rampaging runs down from the defensive line to the opposite penalty area. One such foray produce a great chance but he fumbled his first touch. As he tracked back the ball came to him again and call it lucky or coincidental, his lofted pass cleared the path for James who was onside and made the run to make a thumping finish. 4-1 then but it was soon 4-2, when Ah Fat was caught napping with his relaxation time under the sun when Weixiong went for goal straight from kickoff. Soon after another run from deep saw Simon getting to the end of Zonghui's cross and as he wheeled away in celebration with the goal not yet scored, Ah Chai came sliding in to make sure of the finish. Surely too soft finish from the man but credit to him he came up there from right back. While Ah Chai got what he deserved as he was toiling away in midfield, pulling the strings and putting a good shift in the challenges. Of course his face seems foul and pissed but because he is serious. I can't remember the 6th and 7th goals order but goalscorers are Zhenqing and Zonghui. Both seem identical, put through and Zonghui was a polished finish while Zhenqing's was sort of a luck ricochet but still a goal nevertheless. Obviously hungry was Zonghui as he chased down several balls, making many passes look good and never giving up. Jin had another good block from a cutback as we endured some attacks with our makeshift defence. Twelve rounded up the scoring from Zhenqing's pass down the left and he cut inside to strike a shot into the near post. Opponents got a consolation again as who else but Weixiong provided a pass to Lebron James to slot in the finish. The game ended with several shuffling of positions and players and the last goal is just complacency. We will do well to prevent such defensive lapses.
Rounding up, i believe this was a good morale booster but we should not be satisfied by the result as i know we can even perform better. There are still room for much improvement and different players have got different factors to face. A few examples were brought up during the end match review by Ah Chai like our attack should be more versatile and flexible. And our problems at the back if Jin, Daniel, Ah Fat are not around. And i also think we should have something like first-aid on stand by because you never know how serious things can get. We will look into all these issues when we have the funds. We took a 2-0 lead early on, with goals from Xianxi and James. The first was a diagonal pass from James to Xianxi and he controlled the ball and took his chance well. 1-0 up! And the 2nd was a defensive error from their so called "star player" Weixiong, who took a goal kick but the ball was headed back and he kept James onside to slot in the 2nd. Weixiong started to realise he can't lead the defence on his own so he changed his position playing on the right midfield just dropping off the strikers. He did make a impact as he pulled one back for his team with an tight angle unstoppable shot. Not your fault kay Ah Fat? I think no one will save that shot. And half chances continue to come by as some interplay lead to Ah Chai and me taking pot shots at the other end. The half ended as we regained the 2 goal cushion when James supplied a delicious through ball for Xianxi to finish, although the keeper took at touch but the ball still went in, agonisingly.
First half round up was encouraging, Daniel and Jin absolutely solid, taking out everything that were thrown at them, with interceptions, tackles, clearances. One occasion was that the goal was empty but out of nowhere Jin came sliding in to clear the shot. Amazingly spotting the danger and anticipating it before it was there. Zhenqing was very lively and he reminds me of Ah Ray of my previous team, ranting and shouting at everything he could but he pointed out plays that we should make right, like challenging for the loose balls and 50-50s. And he was our best weapon for attack in the first half with his clearances. Speaks volume how flat things are in attack.
2nd half start with my contact lens being problematic turned out to be a masterstroke. With Simon continuing at right-back we had Tianjun to defensive midfield which added even more bite to our defensive display. He was in the thick of the challenges, I could only think of him as Rambo in the Grass. Simon was getting a lot of freedom as he made rampaging runs down from the defensive line to the opposite penalty area. One such foray produce a great chance but he fumbled his first touch. As he tracked back the ball came to him again and call it lucky or coincidental, his lofted pass cleared the path for James who was onside and made the run to make a thumping finish. 4-1 then but it was soon 4-2, when Ah Fat was caught napping with his relaxation time under the sun when Weixiong went for goal straight from kickoff. Soon after another run from deep saw Simon getting to the end of Zonghui's cross and as he wheeled away in celebration with the goal not yet scored, Ah Chai came sliding in to make sure of the finish. Surely too soft finish from the man but credit to him he came up there from right back. While Ah Chai got what he deserved as he was toiling away in midfield, pulling the strings and putting a good shift in the challenges. Of course his face seems foul and pissed but because he is serious. I can't remember the 6th and 7th goals order but goalscorers are Zhenqing and Zonghui. Both seem identical, put through and Zonghui was a polished finish while Zhenqing's was sort of a luck ricochet but still a goal nevertheless. Obviously hungry was Zonghui as he chased down several balls, making many passes look good and never giving up. Jin had another good block from a cutback as we endured some attacks with our makeshift defence. Twelve rounded up the scoring from Zhenqing's pass down the left and he cut inside to strike a shot into the near post. Opponents got a consolation again as who else but Weixiong provided a pass to Lebron James to slot in the finish. The game ended with several shuffling of positions and players and the last goal is just complacency. We will do well to prevent such defensive lapses.
Rounding up, i believe this was a good morale booster but we should not be satisfied by the result as i know we can even perform better. There are still room for much improvement and different players have got different factors to face. A few examples were brought up during the end match review by Ah Chai like our attack should be more versatile and flexible. And our problems at the back if Jin, Daniel, Ah Fat are not around. And i also think we should have something like first-aid on stand by because you never know how serious things can get. We will look into all these issues when we have the funds. Match 02 - Match Review : 040109 at Turf City
It was a difficult weekend with most of the players unable to play for the team. Rixian has to work and Twelve and Ah bee are both injured and Seng is on overseas. Therefore we had a very different squad compared to last week. Nonetheless this is the amount of people who turned up today. Thanks to those who appeared today and for all who made the effort to gave their best for the club.

Yes we had only twelve players mean to say that we have only 1 substitute.
When we reached the pitch we were very shock to see the appearance of our opponent. They were indians who are tall and lanky and rigid. And they absolutely looked a pack of speed and skills. They were the typical bunch of people whom u will think that their slowest player is fastest than ur team's fastest player. That is quite a scary thought and that really dampened our morale and mood. Anythin not more than 4 goals will be a victory for us therefore we go out with a mindset of just enoying the game.
Match Review
The match started with the first 5-10 minutes being very jittery as the team failed to string anything decent together. They were down by the sheer physical appearance of the opponent that they are unable to do their thing.
However, we all start to realise that they are not strong enough. Lewis fitted into the left with Heng Swee is a combination of agility and flair with lewis mustering much of the ball and troubling them with his nifty footwork. Makeshit player Zhen qing play centre back with ever energizing Daniel at the back with both having the attribute of godly energy level. However there were moments u see Zhen Qing being way in front of the whole team leading the attack when he should be defending however he made it up with his drive and force which is very important to the team. Daniel was winning all the balls and none of the defenders can go pass him as he timed his tackles with precision. Easily one of the best players of the team with him sitting in the heart of defence, Ah fat had virtually nothing to do the whole 1st half.
We had a few good chance and finally in the 15th minute we capitalised on the mistakes they committed...simon threaded a 1 - 2 pass with chai as chai released simon to race down to collect the ball and blast it past the keeper into the roof of the goal post.
Opponent is stunned and the crowd stood up in disbelief.
Slowly we begin to dominate the game and we seem to have the game in hand but opponent simply had just one chance and that chance they converted it. It was a shock to us but we had to recover and continued playing our game.
Zhen Qing and Daniel with Ka weng and Heng Swee was ushering the defence with Tian Jun as the Defence Midfielder who is meant to disrupt their play is working like a charm as Tian Jun is winning lots of ball and disrupting the fluency of the Opponent's gameplay.
Chai, Simon and Lewis on the other hand is the leading pack for the attacks and occassionally Zhen Qing would race up and join in the attack. To the dismay of kaweng and daniel as they shouted for him to come back....
Xianxi is quite neutralised by the excellent performance of the opposition's experienced defender as he struggled to get the ball at times but there were a few good chances he created a stir in the defence with his nimble movement.
Zong hui on the left strike force proved a handful for the opposition even though he had a very long layoff. Made a few threatening shots but is very sad that it didn't went in.
Hengswee became injured and Jumain came on for Heng Swee. Jumain proved a critical player in today's setup as he anchored the midfield with his excellent first touch and precise passing. He has proven to be a very crucial player and will be featured more for future games as he can bring the team into another dimension of the game.
Towards the end all of the players are all dried and tired. But there were some excellent chances as the corners soaring in are all converted into threatening attempts as the keeper had to pull of some reflex saves to keep the score to 1-1.
In the end the match ended off in a 1-1 draw.
A good result for the team whom we expect to face a punishing defeat by the tall and lanky indians.
However they are not as strong as we thought they are. Or is it that we have become stronger?

Finally... After so many fruitless attempt to gather a sufficient group of players to play in a sunday soccer game.
After many SMS-es and many reminders over the week...All the heroes are finally gathered on the prestigous stage in Chua Chu Kang Scondary School for the Inaugral first match. Thank you for all the warriors turning up on this fateful day to mark the debut match of our team.

Match Review
The match Started with the players being a bit jitterish and uncomfortable afterall it is our first match playing together. Our defence tend to be shaky with the clearance of the ball but was rectified in less than 10 minutes when everyone started to gel together at defence. Ah fat ws winning all the high Balls and Daniel was a possessed energizer Bunny Chasing and the two of them Anchoring the heart of defence. Ka weng and Tian jun released the ball with cool to the flanks as much of our play in the beginning revolutionise around the flanks.
The first Goal attempt was an exchange of passess between Ka weng and Simon before Ka Weng chipped a nice ball into the penalty Area only to have Andrew Headed over the crossbar. A first glimpse of a barrage of danger coming.
Twelve was the makeshift winger between Left and Right as he capitalised on his speed to leave opponents in the dust as he bambooza pass them with each exchange of passes between each other. Rixian and Andrew pulled the strings in centre midfield unleashing their laser guided Passess and stabilising the play around the team. Winning Virtually almost every ball and releasing it to the flanks. Seng was giving the opponents a hard time as the defenders are left gapping which direction he was going and it open up lots of space for Xianxi to take on the ball. Xianxi threaded passes with Zhen Qing and the combination of an Out and Out Striker with a hard working Striker is formulating like magic.
Zhen Qing is his normal self charging at every opponent with the ball and creating a lot of havoc for the opposition defenders. The crossess coming in from Simon was short of a little accuracy and though it when into the radius but it could not be converted.
Ah Bee in between the post was compose with some slight moments of panic between the defence. But there was nothing he could do when the opponent had just 1 good chance and a through pass managed to go through the defence and they slotted it in with that 1 chance. Sad...
Second half was a clear picture that we are turning the tables as we rained the attacks on them. The second goal was pure artistry drawn out from the tactics book of Top Teams in Europe.
Goal #1
The ball sailed into our territory and cool daniel sliced the ball over to Simon. Simon took the ball released the on-rushing Seng and Seng took the ball side footed it to Andrew....Andrew took a turn glided the ball across the field onto Twelve's Foot...Twelve brought it forward and squared to Zhen Qing....Zhen qing took a little Dummy and The ball rolled into the path of Xian Xi in which he cooly slotted it into the net.
A pure masterclass move that deserve a standing Ovation from the fans if we can find any.
With the torturous sun glaring at our eyes....we begin to lose focus of the game as fatigue overtook our body. Much substitution is required with the injured Ah Fat. But ever trustworthy Jin is winning everything on the side. His hard working defensive attributes are the critical factor of unfolding a strings of attack.
Zhen Qing had a few glaring misses but are just negligible to all the contribution he has made for the team in winning balls on the top.
Rixian and Andrew each took turns to fire dangerous freekicks which is a clear explanation to how threatening our attacks can be that they had to ungentlemanly take us down to prevent us from scoring.
Andrew had a glorious chance from nothing through a world class Bicycle kick which forced the keeper to tip it over the crossbar. Wasted...
Moments of fear as opponent surge near our post but the sheer overpowering size of our Goalkeeper Ah Bee just kept out all the attacks as he took on all types of ruthless attack that flowed in on us.
And soon the players are just hoping that the match be over and it did with a honourable 1-1 Draw with a team that is veteran and have been playing together for years and years.
We on the other hand being first time playing together we have earned a flattering draw already.
Hope that future matches we can continue to play at such standard and level.
